About this tour
Learn to roll, cut and cook traditional Abruzzese pasta in a village kitchen near Teramo, working alongside an 85-year-old Nonna who's been making it her whole life. This five-hour session takes you from raw dough to a proper meal at her family table, where you'll pick up the hand techniques and timing that no recipe book can teach. You'll work in her home kitchen with all equipment provided, tasting tomato sauce simmered the way it's been done for decades.

What to expect
You'll arrive at Nonna's house and get straight into it—no lengthy introduction, just an apron and a workspace at her kitchen table. She'll show you how to work the dough by hand, when it's ready, and how to shape each piece. You'll make a few batches so you see the rhythm of it. Midway through, her tomato sauce will be simmering away. Once you've finished making the pasta, you'll cook it together and sit down to eat what you've prepared. It's informal and chatty; you're not watching a demonstration, you're doing the work alongside her.
Good to know
Wear something you don't mind getting flour on. The kitchen is wheelchair accessible with flat surfaces throughout. Bring an appetite—you'll eat a full meal. Five hours includes prep, making, cooking and eating. Let them know in advance if you have dietary needs or food allergies.
