About this tour

A 60-minute aerial yoga session in Kata suspended from silk hammocks, led by trained instructors. You'll float through poses while gravity does the heavy lifting, finishing with tea overlooking the Andaman. The studio sits within a resort property where you can swim afterwards and recover poolside. Suits those with decent fitness levels and a curiosity about what yoga feels like when your mat stops being flat.

Highlights

  • Full body suspension work using silk equipment
  • Mountain views from the studio space
  • Pool access before and after class
  • Complimentary hot tea post-session
  • Small group setting with qualified trainers
  • Towels, water, mats and props provided

What to expect

You'll arrive at a peaceful studio overlooking Kata's landscape. The instructor walks you through getting comfortable in the fabric sling, then guides you through suspended stretches and inversions that decompress your spine and joints. It's part stretch, part float—less strength-focused than traditional yoga but demands core engagement. Expect to wobble at first and feel oddly supported after. After cooling down, you'll step out to the pool area, shower up, and nurse a warm drink whilst your muscles settle. The whole experience takes roughly 90 minutes start to finish.

Good to know

Arrive 10–15 minutes early to get settled in the hammock before class starts. Avoid heavy meals beforehand. Not suitable if you're pregnant, have heart or circulation concerns, or struggle with moderate physical activity. Book ahead as class sizes are kept small.
