You'll depart your hotel early to reach Maeklong Railway Market before the morning trains arrive. The controlled chaos of vendors securing goods as locomotives pass is genuinely striking—bring a camera but expect crowds and heat. Mid-morning takes you to Wat Bang Kung, a serene 17th-century temple where you'll wander between ancient structures and waterside courtyards. By late afternoon you're at Amphawa, browsing the market's floating shops and wooden stall-boats selling clothes, souvenirs and street food.
