About this tour
Roll through Umbria's vineyard-laced countryside on an e-bike, stopping at a working farmstead for lunch cooked by the owner's mother. This six-hour loop tracks the Assisi-Spoleto cycle route through olive groves and sunflower fields, with time to swim and sample local wines poolside before the ride home. Everything served comes from the farm itself—no imported ingredients, no pretence.
Highlights
- E-bike through Umbrian vineyards and centenary olive groves
- Swim in pool surrounded by working farmland
- Lunch prepared by Mama Doriana using farm produce
- Taste white and red wines from the region
- Flat, accessible riding on dedicated cycle paths
What to expect
Expect a gentle pace suited to moderate fitness levels. You'll ride roughly 30–40km across mostly flat terrain on dedicated paths, with a professional guide leading the way. There's breathing room to stop for photos and take in the landscape without rushing. Mid-ride, you'll arrive at a family farmhouse where lunch unfolds on a veranda overlooking the pool and groves. The food is straightforward—pasta, vegetables, cheese, bread—all grown or raised on-site. Wine flows freely. If the season permits (June–September), bring swimmers; a dip before or after eating is part of the rhythm. The return journey follows sunflower fields and quieter roads.
Good to know
Minimum two people per booking. Not suitable if pregnant or with serious heart conditions. Moderate fitness required; the e-bike handles hills, but you'll still pedal. Children welcome with adult supervision; infant seats available. Hotel transfers can be arranged on request. Gratuities not included.
