What to expect
You'll meet early and drive into the mountains outside Granada. Once at Rio Verde, the guide walks you through the canyon system—expect scrambling over wet rock, careful descents on fixed ropes, and swims through sections where the walls close in. There are natural jumps into pools (optional) and a few abseils. The guide briefs each section before you do it. Bring a swimsuit under your gear. By mid-afternoon you'll head back, showered and buzzing from the adrenaline. Photos arrive within days.
Good to know
Not suitable if you have spinal issues, are pregnant, or have poor cardiovascular fitness. All other fitness levels manage fine with proper pacing. Wear old trainers or canyoning shoes. The vehicle is air-conditioned but the canyon itself is cool year-round.
