About this tour
Spend eight to nine hours exploring Capri's craggy coastline by private boat from Positano or Praiano. You'll navigate past the island's most striking sea caves—including the coral-hued and milky grottos—and weave through the dramatic Faraglioni rock formations. Multiple swimming stops let you slip into crystalline waters, whilst an optional lunch break keeps you fuelled. The boat carries snorkelling gear, aperitifs, and local wine to round out the day.
Highlights
- Pilot your boat through Capri's signature sea caves
- Swim beneath the Faraglioni's natural arch
- Snorkel in sheltered, gin-clear bays
- Included aperitif and house wine onboard
- Three to four designated dips throughout the day
- Skip the queues—private boat, no crowds
What to expect
Your skipper collects you from Positano or Praiano and points the boat toward Capri. The morning involves steering past the White Cave, Coral Cave, and others, with your crew explaining the geology and local lore. You'll circle the Faraglioni and thread through the romantic arch if conditions allow. Plan for three swimming pauses in sheltered spots where snorkelling is straightforward. Mid-afternoon, you can either bring a packed lunch or dock near a harborside restaurant for an hour or two. The return journey gives way to quieter coves before heading back.
Good to know
The Blue Grotto requires a separate €18 ticket per person and isn't guaranteed entry due to sea conditions. Lunch isn't included, though shoreside options abound. Bring sun protection and a light layer for sea spray. Not suitable for those with spinal injuries. Prams and service animals are welcome.
