What to expect
You'll be collected from your hotel in a classic open-air songthaew and driven through Chiang Mai's evening streets—the temples lit up, the air warm. At the night market, you'll eat proper Thai food whilst your guide talks through the dishes and their own experience living in the city. Then it's into the cabaret venue: a proper show with full production, live performers, and an audience of locals and travellers mixed together. The performers are skilled and the atmosphere is celebratory, not gawky. You get one drink at the bar. The evening winds down around 10–10:30pm.
Good to know
Minimum age 20. Hotel pickup is included but return transport is not—the venue is near public transport and taxis. Wear comfortable shoes for the songthaew and market walk. The cabaret is indoors and air-conditioned. Tips for the guide are optional but welcomed.
