About this tour
When Alex from our team booked this Ybor City brewery crawl, we got a private golf cart and driver for up to five of us, hitting whichever breweries we fancied from the local lineup. The tour runs 2.5 hours door-to-door, weaving through Tampa's scrappy, colourful brewery district with plenty of stops to snap murals and street art. It's a solid way to explore the neighbourhood without worrying about driving after a few drinks — though note, beverages aren't included, so you're buying your own pints at each stop.
Highlights
- Private golf cart keeps the group compact and easy-going
- Pick your own brewery stops from a pre-set list or suggest alternatives
- Driver handles navigation while you soak in Ybor's street art and character
- Souvenir koozie is a nice touch for keeping drinks cold
- No DUI stress — licensed driver gets everyone home safely
- Photo stops at landmarks built into the route
- Suits groups up to five without feeling cramped
What to expect
You'll meet your driver near Amalie Arena (check if there's a game or concert on — parking can get tight). After signing digital consent forms, you're off in an open-sided golf cart through Ybor's brick streets and colourful murals. The driver knows the area and will stop for pictures at landmarks you point out. Then it's brewery to brewery — you've chosen them in advance, or changed your mind last-minute. At each stop, you hop out, order your own drinks, and rejoin whenever you're ready. The pace is relaxed and social; the whole thing including pickup and drop-off takes 2.5 hours, so you're not belting from bar to bar.
Good to know
This works brilliantly for groups who want a boozy afternoon without managing a designated driver or dodgy Ubers. You get the brewery experience without the navigation headache, and the golf cart is more fun than a minibus. Ybor itself is worth exploring — gritty, artistic, full of character.
Drinks and tips aren't included, so budget accordingly. It's not suitable if you have spinal issues, are pregnant, or have cardiovascular concerns — golf carts aren't smooth rides. Weather sensitivity is real (Tampa heat, sudden rain). Must be 21+. The starting area gets hectic during arena events, so arrive early. You'll need to complete consent forms before departure. Sober friends or non-drinkers won't get much out of it. Each brewery stop is self-directed, so no guided tasting or education — you're just getting transport between bars.
