About this tour
When Em from our team booked this private transfer from Dubrovnik Airport to Split, we got a straightforward 3–4 hour door-to-door run with a friendly local driver who actually knows the coast. The route shadows the Dalmatian shoreline, and you can negotiate stops en route — Klis Fortress, Ston's city walls, wineries — though these cost extra and need sorting before you leave the airport. It's the no-fuss way to bridge two major cities without buses or rental stress, and the driver tends to drop genuine local colour into the journey.
Highlights
- Direct airport-to-your-door pickup, no waiting around for shuttles
- Air-con and WiFi standard; fuel and parking already factored in
- Flexible routing: arrange vineyard or fortress stops with advance notice
- Driver offers real insight into Croatian coastal geography and culture
- Infant seats and pram space available; works for families
- Comfortable for all fitness levels; no hiking or exertion required
- Splits the cost fairly across up to 8 passengers if sharing
What to expect
The driver collects you from your terminal and takes you straight to your Split accommodation (or wherever you're headed). The backbone is a straightforward 3–4 hour drive along the coast — pleasant enough, with sea views and villages passing by. Your driver will chat about the region without being pushy about it.
If you've emailed ahead, you can add a detour: a wine tasting stop, a walk around Klis Fortress (the Game of Thrones set), or lunch at Ston with its medieval walls. These cost extra and need pre-booking. Alternatively, some outfits will swing you toward Kravice Waterfalls or Mostar in Bosnia if you've flagged it in advance — again, additional fees apply. The vehicle is cool and you've got WiFi, so emails or a film on your phone won't hurt the time.
