What to expect

Your driver collects you in the morning and takes you straight to Pompeii. A credentialed guide meets you at the entrance—no queues—and leads you through the buried city for two to three hours depending on your tier. Expect uneven ground, paved streets and sudden staircases as you move between domestic quarters, public squares and the theatre. The air is often hot and exposed.
