What to expect
You'll board a nimble dinghy and head out along Palermo's northern shore, stopping at three or four quiet anchorages. Each stop lasts 45 minutes to an hour, allowing time to jump in, drift, or sunbathe. The boat idles in shallow bays where you can see the seabed. Isola delle Femmine, your furthest point, sits rocky and windswept offshore. The return journey follows the same route as the afternoon sea typically calms. Bring your own mask and fins if you want to snorkel; otherwise, floating and swimming suffice.
Good to know
Snorkelling gear not included—rent or bring your own. Infants must sit on an adult's lap. Public buses serve the Addaura launch point. Wear sun protection and a rash guard. Bring a towel and change of clothes. Suitable for all fitness levels but involves climbing in and out of the boat.
