What to expect
Your driver collects you at a time that suits, then heads north into rolling volcanic country. Expect gravel tracks, rocky outcrops, and sudden vistas across the Atlantic. You'll stop frequently—sometimes just to stand and look, sometimes to climb down and explore. Midway through, settle for drinks and snacks overlooking the sea. By early afternoon, you're eating a plate of local fish or goat stew at a beachfront spot, watching waves break below. If the water looks inviting (and it usually does), there's time to swim. The return journey retraces a different route, taking in more volcanic ridges and quieter coves.
Good to know
Bring closed shoes for walking on volcanic rock and a swimsuit. Book at least a week ahead. Groups of four get a Jeep alongside the camper. Strollers are welcome for very small children. The tour suits all fitness levels—you dictate the pace and which stops matter to you.
