About this tour
Spend four hours learning metalworking in a Tuscan workshop, crafting your own silver or gold ring from scratch. A goldsmith guides you through heating, shaping, soldering and finishing—no experience needed. Melt down old jewellery if you wish and walk away with a completed ring, plus regional snacks and refreshments halfway through.

- Recycle old silver or gold jewellery into something new

- Keep your handmade ring as a keepsake
- Pickup available from nearby towns
What to expect
You'll work at a proper jeweller's bench with all tools provided. The goldsmith demonstrates each stage—melting, rolling, drawing, shaping, soldering, grinding, polishing—then hands over the work to you. It's hands-on and tactile; expect to get warm, handle hot metal carefully, and concentrate. Around the halfway point, you'll pause for regional food and drink. By hour four, your ring will be complete and wearable.
Good to know
No jewellery experience required. All silver, tools and materials are included. The workshop can arrange collection from Montespertoli, San Casciano Val di Pesa, or Tavarnelle Val di Pesa. Public transport links exist nearby. Children can attend; infants must sit with an adult.
