What to expect
You'll arrive, get shown to your workbench, and spend the first 20 minutes or so learning the tools and safety basics. Then it's time to mark out your design on the silver and start shaping. Tom found the tutor patient but hands-off—they check in, offer pointers when you're stuck, but let you lead. The actual metalwork is slower than you'd think; filing a straight edge takes focus. By hour two you're smoothing edges, starting to see the finished piece emerge. The final stretch is polishing and finishing, which feels satisfying as the shine comes up.
