What to expect
You'll start on two wheels, cycling at an easy pace through farmland dotted with rubber trees and fruit groves. Your guide explains what locals grow and how. After around an hour, you'll dismount and hike into tropical jungle on a marked trail, climbing steadily for 30–45 minutes until the waterfall appears. The swimming hole below is cool and refreshing. From there, a short walk brings you to a quiet monastery where monks live simply among the forest. You'll return to the lake for another dip, then cycle back to the restaurant for a proper local meal.
Good to know
Moderate fitness required—the jungle hike involves sustained climbing. Bring a towel, dry clothes, and reef-safe sunscreen. Wear proper cycling shoes or sturdy trainers. Not suitable for those with spinal conditions, pregnant travellers, or poor cardiovascular health. Water and snacks provided throughout.
