What to expect
Day one is classroom-based: two hours of video, then knowledge reviews using the manual, finishing with pool drills to rehearse essential techniques. Day two moves to the ocean for two dives at shallow depths—you'll repeat skills from the pool and explore Pemuteran's underwater landscape. After lunch, you'll complete the remaining theory work with your instructor. Day three takes you to Menjangan for your final two dives, where you'll demonstrate everything you've learnt before receiving your certification. The dives are paced for beginners; you're building competence gradually, not rushing.

Park entry to Menjangan costs 200,000 IDR per person per day (not included). Moderate fitness required. The dive centre has facilities including showers, lockers and WiFi. Food and drink at the onsite warung are separate costs. Digital photos/videos can be purchased separately.
