About this tour
Spend eight hours sailing through the Maddalena Archipelago's gin-clear waters aboard a small boat crewed by two skippers. With just ten guests maximum, you'll explore sheltered coves and granite islands off Sardinia's northeast coast, stopping to swim, snorkel, and paddle. The crew speaks German, English, and Italian, and the day includes lunch, drinks, snorkelling kit, and SUP boards.
Highlights
- Turquoise waters between granite islands and hidden beaches
- Snorkel directly from the boat in shallow reefs
- Stand-up paddleboard exploration of smaller coves
- Two-skipper operation keeps group intimate at ten
- Lunch and drinks included throughout the day
- Dinghy landing on sand beaches by request
What to expect
You'll board early morning and motor between the islands, anchoring in a succession of swimming spots chosen by the skippers based on weather and sea conditions. Most stops allow 45 minutes in the water—long enough to snorkel the rocky shallows or paddle a SUP to quieter corners. The boat has an onboard loo and shaded areas for the heat. Lunch arrives mid-afternoon, usually fresh salads and local cheese. Expect the water temperature to be chilly even in summer; a rash guard helps. The two skippers handle navigation and safety; you just show up ready to swim.
Good to know
Book early for summer dates. Bring sunscreen, a rash guard, and a light sarong. The boat rocks in swells; take seasickness tablets if prone. Not suitable if pregnant or with heart conditions. Public buses connect to the departure point.
