About this tour
Paddle across Pittwater's turquoise waters before leaving your kayak to trek uphill through bushland to Lovett Bay's cascading waterfall. You'll eat lunch beside the falls, then retrace your route back to base. The 4-hour outing suits paddlers with basic fitness and moderate hiking stamina; the water section is forgiving, but the return walk climbs steeply through native scrub.

What to expect
The paddle begins gently, with your guide steering you across calm waters toward the trailhead. Once ashore, the real work starts: a steep uphill slog through dry sclerophyll forest, taking roughly 45 minutes to reach the waterfall basin. The cool spray and flow reward the effort. After eating lunch on the rocks, you'll head back down (knees will feel it) and paddle home. Bring water, good shoes, and realistic expectations about the climb—it's not a casual stroll.
Good to know
Moderate fitness essential. Steep descent jarring on joints. Wear proper hiking footwear, not sandals. Not suitable for spinal issues, pregnancy, or poor cardiovascular health. Public transport nearby. Bring sunscreen and extra water beyond what's provided.
