About this tour
Master three pillars of Italian street food in this three-hour cooking class near the Colosseum. Work alongside a local chef to roll and shape Neapolitan pizza dough, churn silky gelato from scratch, and fry golden supplì—those crispy Roman risotto balls filled with melted cheese. You'll taste everything you make, paired with Italian wines throughout.

- Take home your gelato-making knowledge
What to expect
You'll start with pizza fundamentals—mixing dough, understanding hydration, and practising the toss. The chef demonstrates topping combinations before you compose your own pie for the oven. Next comes gelato: learning how cream, sugar, and flavourings balance to create that signature smoothness, with a chance to experiment with your own twist. Finally, you'll shape and deep-fry supplì, watching the cheese melt inside the crispy rice exterior. Between stations, you'll eat what you've made and drink wine. It's physical work—standing, kneading, and stirring—but the chef paces it for all fitness levels.
Good to know
The class runs three hours and excludes hotel transport. Gluten intolerance can be managed; coeliac disease makes this unsuitable. Infants may attend on an adult's lap. Wear clothes you don't mind getting flour or oil on.
