What to expect
You'll spend roughly 2.5 hours at Pompeii with your guide highlighting buildings, mosaics and daily life frozen by Vesuvius's eruption. The drive to the coast follows the Campania region south; expect scenic hairpin roads descending to Positano, where you have two hours to eat and wander boutiques. The final stop is Amalfi's Cathedral of St. Andrew; the limoncello tasting happens here, and you'll have time to explore the compact town. Winter (November–February) alters the itinerary: Positano becomes a photo stop only, as businesses shut seasonally, while Amalfi remains active.
Good to know
Gratuities not included. Lunch at either destination is self-catering. The tour accommodates wheelchairs and prams throughout. Wear comfortable shoes for Pompeii's uneven ancient streets. Road conditions are curvy but navigable; request infant car seats in advance.
