What to expect
You'll meet your captain and guide at the pier and board a wooden longtail—expect a loud engine and sea spray on the short rides between islands. Each island visit runs 45 minutes to an hour, split between wading ashore, snorkelling in shallow reefs, or simply sitting on white sand. The guide reads conditions and groups you with other snorkellers if the reef is worth entering. Lunch happens around midday on a quiet beach; it's simple but filling. Good to know
National Park fees (200 baht adults, 100 baht children) aren't included—pay on arrival at each island. Transfers from Railay, Khlong Muang, Tub Kaek or Centara Grand incur extra charges. Bring sun protection and a rash vest if you burn easily. Not suitable for pregnant travellers. Public tuk-tuks run nearby if you prefer independent transport.
