About this tour
Spend eight hours cruising from Positano to Capri and along the Amalfi Coast on a private boat. You'll navigate past the Faraglioni rock formations, slip into the Blue, Green and White Grottoes, and spot the Punta Carena Lighthouse. The itinerary builds in unstructured time to explore Capri's lanes and Amalfi's cathedral and papermaking heritage at your own pace. The vessel includes a cabin, galley, and toilet, with snorkelling gear and refreshments aboard.
Highlights
- Faraglioni formations and three colour-coded sea caves
- Punta Carena Lighthouse from water level
- Self-guided wandering through Capri village
- Amalfi Cathedral and Paper Museum visits
- Snorkelling stops in crystalline waters
- Onboard cabin, galley, and full facilities
What to expect
Depart Positano in the early morning and motor toward Capri's eastern cliffs. You'll see the three Grottoes—their hues shift with light angle and boat position—and anchor for a snorkel if conditions allow. By mid-day, you'll have a few hours ashore to climb Capri's steep streets, browse boutiques, or rest at a café. Late afternoon, the boat heads northwest toward Amalfi's pastel waterfront. Another stretch of free time lets you duck into the cathedral (small entrance fee) or the Paper Museum before the return journey to Positano. Seas can be choppy; anti-nausea tablets are sensible.
Good to know
Snorkelling kit is provided. Lunch isn't included; budget €50 for two at a mid-range spot. Cathedral and museum each have modest entry fees. The boat has Wi-Fi and a toilet. Infants sit on laps; prams are welcome. Shuttle service from the pier connects late arrivals to the boat.
