About this tour
A four-hour sailing adventure off Cagliari where you'll pick up the fundamentals of boat handling through hands-on practice, not lectures. The boat heads toward the Devil's Saddle formation, dropping anchor in a sheltered cove beneath limestone cliffs. From there, you'll slip into a sea cave most visitors never find, then swim in crystalline water. Fresh drinks are supplied throughout.
Highlights
- Learn sailing basics by actively handling the boat
- Navigate toward the dramatic Devil's Saddle rock formation
- Explore a hidden sea cave accessible only by water
- Swim in a secluded cove beneath towering cliffs
- Small enough crew for proper instruction and safety focus
What to expect
You'll begin with a briefing on how sails work and why boats move the way they do, then put theory into practice as you help trim sails and steer. The skipper explains as you go rather than before departure. After an hour or so, you'll reach the cove and anchor. The cave entrance is tight but manageable; bring a waterproof phone if you want photos. Allow 45 minutes for exploring and swimming. The return sail is usually gentler. Most of the four hours is on the water, so dress for both sun and sea spray.
Good to know
Life jackets provided for all ages. Prams and strollers can be left ashore. Infants must sit on a lap. Not suitable for those with mobility issues. Public transport stops nearby if you need it to reach the marina.
