What to expect

You'll enter from shore at Playa Chica and descend onto a shallow plateau that opens into sloping terrain dotted with reefs, caves and blackened volcanic rock. The seabed rises and falls between 1 and 40 metres—your guide picks the exact route based on group certification level and the day's conditions. Marine encounters range from schooling fish to individual large groupers and barracudas. Visibility is generally excellent. Plan for a steady-paced underwater exploration rather than a rushed tour; your small group size means attentive supervision and flexibility.
