About this tour
Work directly with sculptor Octavio Palomino in his Italian atelier to carve stone yourself. This two-hour private session teaches you stone-carving fundamentals whilst discovering the techniques behind Renaissance masterworks. You'll handle professional tools, shape actual stone, and leave with a piece you've created. Sessions run mornings (10am–1pm) or evenings (2–5pm, 5:30–8:30pm), scheduled around your availability.

What to expect
Expect a focused, physical workshop. Octavio will begin by walking you through basic chisel and mallet technique, then you'll work on a stone piece with direction throughout. He'll explain the historical methods behind the works you admire, but the bulk of time is spent actually carving—not lecturing. Your hands will get dusty and tired in the best way. The atelier is a working studio, so you'll see his larger projects in progress. Bring water and wear clothes you don't mind damaging.
Good to know
Moderate fitness required; sculpting involves repetitive arm and shoulder work. The atelier sits near public transport. Book ahead; your specific time slot will be confirmed by the office once reserved. Finished pieces stay with you, but shipping costs are separate.
