About this tour
Explore Valencia's wine country with a knowledgeable local guide in a small group of seven or fewer. This 5.5-hour tour takes you to two established wineries in the Requena-Utiel appellation, where you'll taste at least five wines and cava whilst learning how the region's varieties developed. A walking tour through Requena's historic centre and a charcuterie pairing round out the experience, all travelled in an air-conditioned vehicle.
Highlights
- Two winery visits in Requena-Utiel appellation
- Minimum five wines and cava tastings
- Local pork charcuterie pairing at second winery
- Licensed guide-led historical walk through Requena
- Groups capped at seven people maximum
What to expect
Your guide collects you and drives the group through countryside to the first winery, where you'll meet the producers and taste their current releases. After moving to the second winery, you'll sample more wines alongside locally cured meats. Between visits, you'll walk through Requena's old town with your licensed guide, who explains the settlement's architecture and wine-making heritage. The pace is leisurely—expect roughly two hours of tastings split across both wineries, plus an hour on foot. Most of the day is spent outdoors or in cellar settings, so bring sunscreen and comfortable shoes.
