About this tour
Learn to make fresh pasta and regional specialities in a Sorrentine citrus grove with a local chef, then eat what you've cooked. This 3.5-hour class runs twice daily from Sorrento and covers either handmade gnocchi, aubergine parmigiana and dessert, or pizza from scratch. You'll taste limoncello and sit down to lunch or dinner with wine included, working alongside just a handful of other students.
Highlights
- Shape gnocchi by hand using traditional Sorrento technique
- Layer and bake aubergine parmigiana from scratch
- Knead pizza dough, let it prove, then bake your own
- Eat your creations straight away with local wine
- Pick lemons from the grove whilst learning kitchen secrets
- Small group ensures hands-on attention from the chef
- Limoncello tasting included for adults
What to expect
You'll arrive at a working citrus grove on the peninsula's slopes and spend the morning or afternoon cooking alongside your instructor. Expect to get your hands messy: you're not watching a demo, you're doing the work. The chef walks you through each step—rolling pasta, layering filling, stretching dough—in a relaxed, conversational way. Once everything's ready, you sit down together at a shared table to eat, with water and regional wine poured throughout. The whole session runs about three and a half hours, including the meal.
Good to know
Round-trip transport from Sorrento is included; book your preferred session (morning or afternoon) when booking. Children are welcome, though kids under 18 won't be served limoncello. From December 1–22, a minimum of four people per class applies. Custom menus can be arranged if you request ahead.
