What to expect
You'll be collected from your Andalusian base and driven to Tarifa port for a straightforward ferry crossing (roughly 1 hour each way). In Tangier, your private guide meets you dockside. Expect a leisurely circuit through different quarters with designated viewpoint stops, culminating at Cape Spartel's dramatic promontory where Atlantic swells meet Mediterranean shallows. The Hercules Caves require modest scrambling; inside you'll see the famous natural sinkhole. Your camel handler will brief you before the 15-minute ride. Asilah feels more relaxed—plan an hour wandering its blue-and-white washed lanes and harbourfront. Ferry schedules dictate your rhythm; departure times are fixed.
Good to know
Bring sun protection and comfortable shoes for uneven cave terrain and cobblestones. Ferries run year-round but can be choppy in winter. Lunch and drinks aren't provided—eat before boarding or budget for Moroccan cafés. Minimum two people per booking; groups of 2–6 use a car, 7–15 a minibus. Infant seats available on request.
