What to expect
Your driver picks you up at Messina port and heads south toward Taormina, a 45–60 minute drive. Once there, you'll walk the main streets and take in the sweeping sea views from the town's highest points. The Greek theatre and palace exteriors are visible from public areas—no ticket needed for those. Then it's a short drive inland to Castelmola, a compact medieval village where you'll step inside Madonna Della Rocca church before having time to sit at a café or explore narrow streets.
