What to expect
You'll be picked up in Messina and driven to Savoca first, a small town where you can see the actual filming locations and grab a drink at the iconic bar. Then it's on to Taormina, perched dramatically on a clifftside. After arriving at Porta Catania gateway, you'll have time to walk the main thoroughfare, poke around shops, visit the theatre ruins, and eat at one of the many restaurants lining the streets. The pace is relaxed—no rushing. Heading back to Messina, your driver will point out the Shrine and Cathedral if timing allows; both are worth a quick stop if you're interested in architecture and views.
Good to know
Private vehicle means flexible pacing and no crowded coach groups. Taormina involves walking uphill through cobbled streets—wear decent shoes. Infants can travel in prams; specialised car seats available. Water and soft drinks supplied. WiFi onboard. Suitable for most fitness levels, though Taormina's layout is steep.
