What to expect

You'll begin on a flat, protected bike path near Circus Maximus to get used to the e-bike's handling. Once confident, you'll head onto the Appian Way itself—a proper Roman road lined with ruins and open countryside. The pace is leisurely; the electric motor assists uphills and longer sections. After cycling, you'll dismount and walk into the Catacombs with your guide, descending into cool underground passages where you'll see burial niches, inscriptions, and the scale of these early Christian communities.
