When Em from our team did this KL nightlife and street food tour, we were led through alleys where old brothels have become craft cocktail bars tucked behind unmarked doors. The guide steered us past murals near the old train station, past decades-old hawker stalls, and into pockets of the city younger entrepreneurs are quietly reshaping. Over three to four hours, we sampled proper street food—clay pot chicken rice and more—nursed a Malaysian-flavoured cocktail, and picked up stories about how Kuala Lumpur's underbelly is reinventing itself.
