Taipei Eye: Traditional Chinese Historical Opera E-ticket
When Noah from our team caught Taipei Eye, we found ourselves in a slick two-hour showcase of traditional Chinese opera that doesn't pretend to be anything other than a polished performance venue. You get the pre-show theatre: watching performers apply their elaborate makeup, trying on costumes that feel legitimately heavy and formal. The actual show runs through Chinese opera classics with English, Japanese, and Korean subtitles projected above the stage—essential, because the singing is ornate and the stories move fast. It's in central Taipei, draws a mixed crowd of tourists and locals, and runs smooth as a well-oiled machine. There's even a free lipstick case included (through August 2026).
